Jazmin Jude is an Illustrator based in Los Angeles. She studied Illustration and Animation at Otis College of Art and Design. During that time she spent building her brand, creating content and strengthening her online store. She spends her time selling her art work at art events, showing in galleries in Los Angeles and collaborating with other artists. In 2022 she began writing her first Collection of Horror stories featuring her Illustrations. The book is scheduled to be released in early spring of 2023.
Her inspirations include Gris Grimly, Tim Burton, Frances Bacon Anslef Kiefer, Yves Tanguay, and Stephen Gammel. Growing up, Jazmin was an avid reader which lead her to want to get into publishing books and creating Illustrations for those books. She got into art accidentally while doodling in in her notebook in class, when her classmate who was sitting beside her responded with such horror with the drawing. After that reaction, she decided that she wanted to get into Illustration. Her subject matter includes spooky monsters who are very friendly (most of the time), loosely based self portraits or surrealistic landscapes. Mediums include Pen, Ink, Copic Markers and most recently Windsor and Newton watercolors.
